17. Options 2: Children, Others as Beneficiary
Option 2 is naming your children, grandchildren or others as beneficiary.
You would want to consider this if your spouse will have plenty of other assets after you die, if you have reason to believe your spouse will die before you, or if you are not married.
Also, after you die, the distributions can be paid over your beneficiary's actual life expectancy. And as you know now, depending on their ages, that could mean another 30, 40, 50, 60 or more years of tax-deferred growth.
